Happy Halloween

Last Saturday was the day/night I had been looking forward to for some time now. Well at least people had been telling me I was excited about. Unfortunately the lead up to the day was turned upside down, and my excitement turned into absolute stress!

HALLOWEEN WEEKEND...My very 1st Halloween in NYC...And I without costume!

Working seven days a week had certainly made getting my costume a challenging task. But with Eloise & myself both costume-less, we utilised every last second of my one hour lunch break to ram-sack American Apparel, H & M & Ricky's.

At last, we both had success!

We met up to get ready together later that night, and I'm sure you'll all agree we both looked AMAZING!!!

Stay tuned for the events of the night....coming soon ;)

Up the Mighty Dragons....

As you all know.....The Mighty Mighty Dragons played a phenomenal 80 minutes a few wks ago now. Although I may not have been at the game...I was at 'THE' game!

I rallied up my New York buddies, and to the 'The Australian' we went!

Being the ONLY Australian bar in Manhattan showing the game, it was no surprise that I bumped in to many Australians I have met in New York over the months, as well as a few ex-pat Sydney friends. Bec (a bestie from Sydney) was visiting at the time, so she joined in. However we did not expect one of our school mates to walk through the door minutes after us. And then find out that he had been living in New York for the past month. CRAZINESS!!!

I had SO much fun conversing with the family back & forth as the game was happening LIVE! I think I actually got to see more of it than them however, even though they had the amazing seats!

I made many many new Dragons friends that night, and I don't think I could have had a better Dragons Grand Final win...even if I were in Sydney!

Amazing NYC moment......once again!

I stupidly promised one of the boys I had dragged along to watch the game that if he came to watch the Australian game, I'd get up early the next morning to watch his Seattle American football game! Big mistake, seeing it was my first day off in over a month (no joke), and I was taking advantage of a guaranteed sleep-in...therefore meaning we didn't get home until 7am that morning!

As he jumped out of bed the next morning asking who was coming to the game, in true Australian style, I was the only one who braved the two hours of sleep to roll out of bed and fulfill the promise I had made the night before!

In all of my adrenaline pumped up from the night before I managed to sit at the bar asking for one water after the next as I watched one...two...three...four...five...YES...five games of American football the next day!

Amazing weekend of footy from every corner of the globe!
